Yardstick has locations in Nashville (Berry Hill, West Nashville and soon-to-be East Nashville) and is expanding to Dallas in the fall of 2024 . Be on the lookout for updates on our new locations, we are growing fast!

Our top priority is the safety of our staff and the safety of the dogs in our care. Requirements are as follows:

Minimum age: dogs must be a minimum of 4 months old.

Spay/neuter: all dogs over the age of 6 months must be spayed or neutered. Exceptions may be considered with a vet’s recommendation; however, these dogs will not be eligible to participate in small group daycare. This includes puppies from 4-6 months of age who have not yet been altered.

Vaccinations: up-to-date rabies, distemper (one or three-year vaccines), Bordetella, and an annual canine influenza vaccine are required. Proof(s) of vaccination may be uploaded in the Intake Form or emailed to your respective location (refer to Locations page).

Flea & Tick: regular administration of preventative flea/tick medication is also required.

Fit Tests: are not required prior to a dog's first visit. We will conduct them prior to participation in group play.

We ask that customers make reservations online by clicking the "Book Now" button. Nighttime reservations can be made up to 6 months in advance and will be confirmed instantaneously, subject to availability. In the event there is no availability for your requested date(s), please send an email to your desired location’s respective email address (refer to Locations page) and you will be added to our waitlist.

Our website does not currently support Daytime reservations. Please refer to email instructions on the Locations page to schedule.

We are open for drop-off/pick-up between 6:30am - 6:30pm Monday - Friday, and between 9:00am - 6:30pm on weekends.

If you are unable to pick up your dogs by 6:30pm, they will transition to our Nighttime service and you will be billed accordingly.

Yes. We are proud to say we have staff on-site 24/7/365 to make sure your dogs are safe and cared for overnight.

While all of our staff are trained in canine first-aid and CPR, sometimes incidents happen. It's the nature of caring for dogs. We are partnered with local animal hospitals that operate 24/7, as well as with veterinarians offering telemedicine for more minor scenarios. In the event a dog requires urgent medical attention, we will notify you or your emergency contact and immediately transport the dog to the animal hospital for treatment.

We offer a limited selection of bathing services — departure bath and brush, dental chews, nail trim or grind, and ear cleaning — but do not offer full-service grooming. You may add any Bathtime services to your dogs’ visit at the time of booking or anytime during their stay.

Bathtime offerings are only available for our Nighttime and Daytime guests during their stay.

A single Nighttime reservation includes 24 hours of care at Yardstick in a designated suite. Included in the Nighttime rate is small group daycare during the daytime portions of the stay (refer to "What is small group daycare?" below).

Nighttime dogs will be fed and administered medication in accordance with your directions and will be given substantial time outside their suites, rotating between our playrooms, yards and sofa lounges.

It is strongly encouraged that dogs stay on the same diet while in our care, so we ask that you bring enough food to last the duration of the stay. No need to portion out feedings (though you may, if you'd like) — our Hosts will follow your feeding instructions.

You may also pack toys, treats and beds for your dogs but ask that you use discretion in doing so.

We have raised beds and house blankets that are washed thoroughly between stays, so feel free to leave blankets at home.

Our daycare provides dogs the right amount of social, mental and physical stimulation throughout their stay, without wearing them out. It differs from many other daycare programs in the following ways:

• Dogs are separated by size into 3 different playrooms, never to exceed a playgroup size larger than 12 dogs.

• The day features built-in breaks, with downtime scheduled for the dogs during which they're separated from other dogs.

• The dogs are rotated through different play environments, which includes our playrooms with canine-specific padded flooring, outdoor yards and our sofa lounges.

• Each playroom is supervised at all times with a high staff-to-dog ratio.

Unless your dog requires meals or medication at lunchtime, we politely request you not pack anything for daycare.
